Paul Garside unveils new single 'That There Is Our Problem'

South London alt-folk songwriter Paul Garside returns with 'That There Is Our Problem', a striking new release inspired by a true story that examines the uneasy relationship between love, devotion and jealousy.

The song takes its cue from reports of a man driven to extreme actions after believing he had lost his partner's affection to her faith, using the incident as a starting point for a wider exploration of insecurity and the desire to possess what can never truly belong to us.

Musically, the track pairs his characteristically sharp storytelling with rich acoustic arrangements, enhanced by contributions from Finnish multi-instrumentalist Niilo Sirola, whose banjo and Irish bouzouki performances add warmth and tension in equal measure.
