Personal Trainer share new single 'Moping'

Dutch indie outfit Personal Trainer have unveiled their latest single, ‘Moping’, the second track to be shared from their forthcoming album 'Human Assholes', due for release on 4th September via Bella Union.

Following the release of lead single ‘Punch Drunk Love’, the new track offers another glimpse into the band’s playful and inventive approach to guitar-driven alternative music. Built around restless rhythms, sharp melodies, and an ever-present sense of momentum, ‘Moping’ combines humour and self-reflection in equal measure.

Frontman Willem Smit describes the song as an exploration of creative stagnation and the repetitive cycles that can accompany life as a musician. Reflecting those themes, the track continually folds back on itself both lyrically and musically, creating a subtle feeling of motion that never quite settles.

Alongside the single, the band have released a new video directed by and starring Smit, matching the song’s offbeat energy with a similarly inventive visual companion.
