Peter Bjorn And John unveil new single 'On The Brink'

With 2020 marking the 20th anniversary since their conception, Peter Bjorn And John are kicking off their new year with the release of the next preview lifted from their forthcoming album.

The new single 'On The Brink' follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Idiosyncrasy,' 'Reason To Be Reasonable,' and 'Rusty Nail', all of which will feature on their ninth LP 'Endless Dream', which is set to be released on the 13th March via INGRID records.

Speaking about their latest offering, the band said, "In line with most of the other songs on 'Endless Dream,' 'On The Brink' has a cautious positive philosophical outlook on life and the shortcomings of being. It looks onwards with a grain of hope and confidence. It wonders what's really important when everything comes to a head and the mind is bogged with how extremely tiny we all are compared to the vastness of the universe." Commented Peter when asked about the song, adding "This dramatic triple time track has a lot in common musically and emotionally with PBJ's epic indie-classic "Objects Of My Affection" from the Writer's Block album. With rolling tom-toms, mandolin, 12-stringed guitar and singalong sea shanty chorus it might even be its older and slightly wiser folk rock cousin or sibling."
