Philippe Zdar of Cassius dies, aged 50

One half of French production duo Cassius, Philippe Zdar, has died, aged 50.

Details surrounding his death have remained scarce so far, but according to his agent Sebastien Farran, "He made an accidental fall, through the window of a high floor of a Parisian building."

Since the announcement of his death, the world of music has been pouring their grief all over social media with Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris, Rostam and many more sharing their memories of the legendary producer.

Over the years, Cassius were responsible for some of the biggest hits in the world of dance music. The pair's breakthrough single 'Cassius 1999' brought them international attention, and had since gone on to produce works for the likes of Cat Power, Pharrell Williams, Franz Ferdinand, Phoenix and Robyn, as well as recently worked alongside Hot Chip on their forthcoming record 'A Bath Full Of Ecstasy'.
