Having spent the best part of the last decade building and cultivating a distinctive direction for herself, former Portishead singer Beth Gibbons has now announced her plans for her first debut solo album, arriving in the coming months.
The new full-length 'Live Outgrown' is being previewed by the new lead single 'Floating On A Moment', which comes accompanied by a stunning Tony Oursler-directed video, and is set to be released on the 17th May via Domino.
Speaking about the new visuals, director Oursler said, "When I first heard “Floating On A Moment” it literally transported me from place to place, filling me with kaleidoscopic emotions and visions. If possible, I wanted to capture that psychic liquid in this video. Beth's work is so powerful it can lead us through life's forests and fires, revealing glimpses of possible futures. With a voice and music like that I knew we had to make images which are open, somehow speculative."
