Edinburgh rising force Pray Silence have unveiled their sophomore single ‘Kill Room’, further cementing the band’s arrival as one of Scotland’s most exciting new acts.
Following the release of debut outing ‘Dragon of Chaos’, this latest track pushes deeper into the duo’s love of towering guitars, expansive hooks and razor-sharp songwriting. Equal parts aggressive and melodic, ‘Kill Room’ balances muscular instrumentation with lyrics that cut with wit and precision, creating a sound designed to land emotionally as much as sonically.
The project brings together the talents of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Marky Wildtype alongside multidisciplinary artist and musician Sam Siggs, known to many through his work as Pillowfight Cenobite and as Wes Linton of garage-punk outfit The Head Henchmen. United by a desire to return to heavier territory, the pair spent years gradually shaping the project before finally bringing it into the light.
