Roxy Rawson shares new single 'South Sudan'

Berlin-based chamber-folk artist Roxy Rawson returns with 'South Sudan', a striking new single that pairs sweeping orchestral arrangements with deeply human storytelling. Produced by acclaimed composer Jherek Bischoff, the release offers the latest preview of Rawson’s forthcoming album 'Bright Star,' due in 2027.

Inspired by time spent working alongside communities in Sudan, 'South Sudan' reflects on compassion, resilience and humanity’s connection to the natural world. Live strings, expansive instrumentation and her own unmistakable vocal performance combine to create a song that feels both intimate and cinematic, allowing its emotional themes to unfold with quiet power.

Now based in Berlin, where she also founded the Feral Folk Festival, Roxy Rawson has entered a new creative chapter shaped by resilience and reflection. And 'South Sudan' captures that spirit beautifully, offering an elegant and emotionally resonant introduction to what promises to be one of her most ambitious projects to date.
