Salwa unveils new single 'GOAT'

Electro-pop artist Salwa returns with her striking new single ‘GOAT’, an ambitious multimedia release that blends music, visual art, and mythology into a powerful exploration of identity, displacement and inherited trauma.

Marking her first new release in three years, ‘GOAT’ reimagines the ancient symbolism of the scapegoat through a contemporary lens, connecting personal experience with wider political and cultural themes. Developed over the course of these last years, the project began as Salwa’s attempt to process the emotional complexities of growing up in Beirut while navigating her Lebanese, Palestinian and Scottish heritage.

Driven by dark electronic textures and hypnotic percussion, the track combines atmospheric electro-pop with Middle Eastern rhythmic influences inspired by artists such as Asayel and the groove-heavy aesthetic of Habibi Funk.

With this new offering, Salwa delivers a fearless artistic statement that bridges mythology, politics, and deeply personal storytelling, establishing herself as one of the more boundary-pushing voices emerging within alternative electronic music today.
