Sam Quealy releases new album 'Jawbreaker'

Paris-based pop provocateur Sam Quealy returns with her second full-length 'Jawbreaker', a fearless step forward from 2023’s 'Blonde Venus'. Glossy yet dangerous, the record surges through desire, heartbreak, reinvention and survival, wrapping emotional extremes in adrenaline-fuelled club energy.

Rooted in electro and techno-pop with a rebellious streak, 'Jawbreaker' nods to 80s and 90s dance culture; all disco shimmer, new wave drama, with flashes of Eurodance and gabber pulse, while keeping its footing firmly in the present. Written in Paris alongside longtime collaborator Marlon Magnée (La Femme) and recorded between their home studio and the iconic Studio Ferber, the album leans into sweeping strings, high-impact hooks and unapologetic theatricality.

Across the tracklist, Quealy pivots from escapist longing on 'LONDONTOWN' to the euphoric rush of 'STARLIGHT', from the seductive vulnerability of 'SAY MY NAME' to the chaotic magnetism of 'LOVE LASSO'. The ecstatic 'GIRLS NIGHT' captures reckless freedom, while 'PUSSY POWER' and 'FLYING SOLO' double down on autonomy. The biting title track cuts ties with false allies before closer 'LOVE FOUNTAIN' offers quiet restoration.
