San Jose Drop Their Latest Single ‘Dirty Linen’

Glasgow based six piece San Jose drop their latest single ‘Dirty Linen’, a provocative musical manifesto, blending punk intensity with orchestral complexity. Described as  “one of the best live bands in Scotland”, their latest offering see’s them continue to make waves in the post-punk maelstrom.

Produced by Christopher McCrory, (Walt Disco, Catholic Action, Joy Hotel, Flat Party)  ‘Dirty Linen’  emerges as an exploration of cultural identity and societal prejudice, delivered through a chaotic soundscape of guitars, violin, brass, and driving percussion.

The song emerges from a confrontation with bigotry, transforming a tense dialogue into a dynamic musical statement about human interconnectedness. San Jose masterfully navigates between abrasive punk rhythms and grandiose fanfare-like moments, creating a sound reminiscent of Black Country New Road with an added theatrical edge.

Lyrically, 'Dirty Linen' deconstructs notions of racial "purity" through a metaphorical washing machine of cultural exchange. The band's approach is both satirical and deeply introspective, challenging listeners to reconsider preconceived notions of identity and belonging.

Adventurous and thematically bold, 'Dirty Linen' cements San Jose's reputation as a band unafraid to push musical and social boundaries. It's a track that demands attention, promising an exciting trajectory for this rising Scottish band.

'Dirty Linen' is available across all streaming platforms now
