After originally cementing himself as a member of instrumental post-rock band The Photographic in recent years, Kentucky-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jamey See Tai aka SEE TAI is now continuing his rise as a compelling solo artist with the breezy new offering 'Fun Now'.
Channelling the smooth and effervescent dream-pop aesthetic he has been embarking on of late, 'Fun Now' makes for a wonderfully bold and enticing listen. Opting for a rich and textured flow that pits his uplifting vocal melodies with captivating production throughout, his newest effort showcases him as a bright and alluring name rising through the ranks.
Speaking about the new release, he said, "My latest release, “Fun Now," is somewhat of a light-hearted take on the highs and lows of partying. I wrote the lyrics to it with my good friend, Brian Vega, a while back during a bittersweet time in my life when I was going out almost every night and feeling the repercussions of it every following day. I've gone back and forth with different musical arrangements for it over the years and finally landed on this one, which I recorded and produced myself in my home studio."
While his background may not be the lightest of directions, 'Fun Now' certainly sees him embrace this new sound with gusto and aplomb. A broad and inventive character throughout that we can't wait to get reacquainted with very soon.
