Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory announce self-titled debut album

Having been working together for a number of years already, Sharon Van Etten and her regular band The Attachment Theory have now announced their plans for their first collaborative LP, which is set to arrive early next month.

The new self-titled studio album was written and recorded in total collaboration with Van Etten's band — Jorge Balbi (drums, machines), Devra Hoff (bass, vocals), and Teeny Lieberson (synth, piano, guitar, vocals), is being previewed by the lead single 'Afterlife', and is set to be released on the 7th February via Jagjaguwar.

Speaking about the collaboration, Van Etten said, “For the first time in my life I asked the band if we could just jam. Words that have never come out of my mouth – ever! But I loved all the sounds we were getting. I was curious - what would happen? In an hour we wrote two songs that ended up becoming ‘I Can’t Imagine’ and ‘Southern Life.’”
