The Sherlocks deliver new single 'Everything Must Make Sense'

Fresh off the back of their highest-charting album to date and a massive hometown headline show at Sheffield’s Don Valley Bowl, The Sherlocks are back with a bold new statement. The Yorkshire indie-rock favourites share the electrifying title track from their upcoming album 'Everything Must Make Sense!', out 16th May.

'Everything Must Make Sense!' is a blistering indie-rock anthem packed with punchy guitar lines, driving rhythms, and an impossibly infectious hook that feels tailor-made for summer road trips and festival fields. It’s the kind of track that hits with the confidence of a band ready to take things to the next level—designed for arenas and aiming straight for the top of the charts.

Vocalist and guitarist Kiaran Crook describes the track as “a combination of all the singles you’ve heard so far wrapped up into one,” and says it arrived fully formed while the band was on tour with Keane in Paris. “It was instant. The song was just there in front of me—almost like it fell out of the sky as a little gift from Paris,” he shares. “The fans are gonna love this tune when they finally hear it!”

The single follows a string of recent releases from the forthcoming album, all pointing toward the band’s most ambitious work to date. With 'Everything Must Make Sense!', The Sherlocks aren’t just continuing their ascent—they’re aiming for the very top, proudly independent and determined to land their first UK #1.
