Southend-on-Sea’s indie punk/rock trio Soaked are back with their latest anthem 'Talk About It'—a raw, urgent call to action that refuses to be ignored.
Recorded in December 2024, the track blends high-energy riffs, blistering vocals, and an infectious chorus to capture the tension of unspoken frustrations boiling over. Taking inspiration from the 2024 UK riots, 'Talk About It' doesn’t just reflect societal anger but serves as a rallying cry for communication and unity in a fractured world.
“The song is called ‘Talk About It’ because I believe many of the social issues raised could be solved by communication and coming together,” explains frontman Brandon. “The lack of trust in the government, distant communities, limited opportunities—but unfortunately, that outcome seems unlikely, which brings us to the chorus: ‘when the levy breaks,’ meaning the frustration and patience of young people… ‘there is no turning back.’”
