After originally releasing their debut album 'Feel the Beat and Do it Anyway!' way back in 2007, a release that was praised by the likes of BBC 6Music upon release, London-based duo Sparky's Magic Piano have now made their long-awaited return as they share their sophomore LP 'Never Twice The Same Colour'.
While their initial effort saw them in an electro-pop guise, 'Never Twice The Same Colour' sees them embark on a more indie-pop direction. Stripping back the fanfare of their formative aesthetic to unveil a warm and alluring texture, brimming with sweet and tender harmonies, this new offering sees them pick up their vibrant formula almost exactly where they left off.
Although it has been a while since the pair made their mark on the scene, 'Never Twice The Same Colour' makes for a fresh and riveting listen throughout. With such a strong and confident approach to both their songwriting and production, we are hoping it isn't another fifteen years before their next outing.
