There has been no shortage of bands looking backwards for inspiration in recent years, but few manage to make vintage pop feel as effortless as The Stanford Family Band. Rather than treating the past as a museum piece, the Brighton quartet approach it as a living language, drawing from decades of classic songwriting to create something that feels warm, familiar and quietly distinctive.
'Go Again' marks an assured step forward from the band's debut, finding greater confidence in both its arrangements and songwriting. Across its runtime, the quartet blend jangling guitars, lush vocal harmonies and understated keyboard textures into songs that are rich in melody without ever feeling overworked.
