Stereolab announce new album 'Instant Holograms On Metal Film'

Stereolab are officially back. The iconic avant-pop group have announced 'Instant Holograms on Metal Film', their first new album in fifteen years, set for release on the 23rd May via Duophonic UHF Disks and Warp Records.

The long-awaited record brings together thirteen brand-new songs written by Laetitia Sadier and Tim Gane, and performed by the current Stereolab touring lineup: Sadier, Gane, Andy Ramsay, Joe Watson, and Xavi Muñoz.

Joining them are a host of stellar collaborators, including Cooper Crain and Rob Frye of Bitchin Bajas, Ben LaMar Gay (International Anthem), Ric Elsworth, Holger Zapf (Cavern Of Anti-Matter), Marie Merlet, and Molly Hansen Read—adding even more texture and experimental flair to Stereolab’s singular sound.

The first single 'Aerial Troubles' is out now, accompanied by a video directed by Laurent Askienazy. Dreamy, motorik, and full of radiant synth flourishes, the track is a clear sign that Stereolab haven’t missed a beat.
