After originally breaking onto the scene with his stellar debut LP 'Glorified Demos' back in 2004, US singer-songwriter Steve Moss instantly established himself as one of the more innovative names on the rise that year. And while he had always looked to return to a solo guise, he has spent the last two decades in numerous other bands around the New York area, as well as returning to his own job and personal life. But now he is back to his vibrant best as he delivers his long-awaited sophomore album 'Another Go', a record that looks to rekindle that early fire he was known for.

Adopting this rich and swaggering approach to both songwriting and production as it plays, 'Another Go' finds him in a wonderfully fun and progressive guise throughout. Taking familiar nods from the classic 60s guitar sound and rebranding it for a modern ear, this new ten-track collection looks to add a fresh dimension to his direction, reflecting the maturity he has been through over the years. While tracks like 'Twice As Hard As Yesterday' and 'Lost Along The Way' keep the momentum moving forward, Moss also likes to slow things down from time to time, giving us this wildly diverse listen that seeks our undivided attention from beginning to end.

It may have been a long time since he last put out a record, but it is clear that Steve Moss is still very much on top of his creative game here. Blending the nostalgic with the contemporary, the fiery with the sombre, 'Another Go' perfectly reflects an artist moving into a new phase within their career. We just hope he doesn't leave it this long to deliver something new again.
