English guitarist and composer Stuart Ironside has unveiled his new single 'soninké'. The track is the third to be shared from his second album 'Music from Somewhere Else', and also appears on the record’s first chapter 'The Enclosure', which arrived in December last year.
Currently based in Viljandi, Estonia, Ironside crafts delicate, atmospheric guitar pieces shaped by place and environment. Recorded in Estonia, 'soninké' continues his exploration of sound as landscape, drawing on classical training alongside global influences and subtle folk dance motifs. The result is a reflective, spacious composition that feels both intimate and expansive.
His new record 'Music from Somewhere Else' is divided into two parts: 'The Enclosure' and 'The Wildlands', with the latter set for release in April 2026. The project was recorded live in the forests of Northern Estonia, conceived as a dialogue between guitar and the surrounding natural world.
