Writer, filmmaker and SOCAN artist Brian C. Taylor, performing as Studious B, will release his third studio album 'Plastic World' on the 20th February, 2026. The nine-song project was performed and recorded live via YouTube sessions, aiming to capture raw creative intensity in real time.
Ahead of the album, Taylor has unveiled 'About Me', an upbeat duet, featuring Dawn Taylor, that centres on a small-town night out where misplaced confidence derails a flirtation. Built around punchy hooks and alternating male-female vocals, the track playfully tackles overconfidence and self-delusion, wrapped in an infectious dancefloor groove.
Following 2023’s 'Death is a Dancer', Studious B set out to craft a more measured and emotionally grounded body of work. Dawn Taylor’s involvement helped shape that shift, bringing a calmer dynamic to the songwriting. Although initially conceived as a strictly synth-driven record, live drumming and layered guitars added a human edge to the electronic foundation.
Blending elements of alternative pop, new wave and synth rock, 'Plastic World' explores sobriety, mental health and self-acceptance while maintaining a sharp, playful spirit.
