Thundercat announces new album 'Distracted'

Six years after his last full-length release, genre-blending bassist and vocalist Thundercat is back with 'Distracted', his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, landing on the 3rd April via Brainfeeder. The LP sees Thundercat team up with a heavyweight cast including A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, Tame Impala, Channel Tres, Lil Yachty, and a never-before-heard collaboration with the late Mac Miller.

Lead single 'I Did This To Myself' featuring Lil Yachty is out now, complete with grooves, humour, and a familiar dose of awkward romantic self-sabotage. Co-produced by Flying Lotus, the track sets the tone for an album exploring overstimulation, modern alienation, and the odd comfort of chaos.

Primarily co-created with pop superproducer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia, Beck), 'Distracted' blends lush funk, warped R&B, digital burnout, and introspective eccentricity. The album’s art was shot by Neil Krug (Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey), reflecting its cinematic, otherworldly tone.
