Thundercat announces new album 'It Is What It Is'

After stunning us with his brilliant studio release 'Drunk' back in 2017, Thundercat has now returned to announce the details behind his next album.

The new full-length 'It Is What It Is' is expected to feature a huge variety of collaborations including Childish Gambino, Steve Lacy, Ty Dolla $ign, Louis Cole, Lil B, Kamasi Washington and many more, is being previewed by the new lead single 'Black Qualls' ft. Steve Lacy and Steve Arrington, and is due to be released on the 3rd April via Brainfeeder.

Speaking about his upcoming release, the producer said, “This album is about love, loss, life and the ups and downs that come with that. It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, but at different points in life you come across places that you don’t necessarily understand… some things just aren’t meant to be understood.”
