Thundercat has released 'ThunderWave', a new collaboration with WILLOW, offering another preview of his upcoming album 'Distracted', due on the 3rd April via Brainfeeder.
The song arrives as the latest in a string of tracks leading up to the record, following earlier releases including 'She Knows Too Much (feat. Mac Miller)', 'I Did This To Myself (feat. Lil Yachty & Flying Lotus)', and 'I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time'.
'ThunderWave' leans into a smooth, late-night atmosphere, pairing Thundercat and WILLOW’s intertwined vocal lines with spacious instrumentation. The track’s production, handled by Greg Kurstin, incorporates subtle ambient elements such as the gentle sound of ocean water, creating a calm and reflective backdrop for the duo’s performance.
