Paris alt-rock project TMYS makes an immediate first impression with debut single ‘I WANNA GET HIGH’, a swaggering introduction built around escape, intensity and the irresistible desire to feel something bigger.
The track pairs restless guitars with a swaying rhythm and an instantly direct chorus, drawing from the melodic power of British alternative rock while keeping its sights firmly on the present. There are echoes of Oasis, Stereophonics and The Verve, but TMYS uses those foundations to begin carving out a world of its own.
With early radio and playlist support already beginning to emerge, ‘I WANNA GET HIGH’ gets TMYS moving in exactly the right direction; delivering something immediate, melodic and charged with the restless thrill of wanting more.
