Tom Misch shares new single 'Red Moon'

Tom Misch unveils his latest single 'Red Moon', a beautifully restrained ballad that marks a notable turn in his sonic journey. Written and recorded in Nashville with Grammy-winning collaborators Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, 'Red Moon' sees Misch trading in the groove-laden, beat-heavy textures of his earlier work for something far more intimate and lyrical.

Built around a soft, low-slung vocal and stripped-back guitar, 'Red Moon' unfolds like a late-night conversation with the cosmos. Tom addresses the moon as a confidant, asking for clarity amidst emotional turbulence. It’s a deeply personal offering, one that not only reveals a new vulnerability but also highlights Misch’s growing emphasis on storytelling.

“Red Moon is sonically inspired by J.J. Cale and the way he double tracks his vocals,” Tom shares. “Our vocal ranges are quite similar. He sings very softly into a microphone, pans his vocals left and right, and runs it to tape to create that bedroomy, ‘70s DIY sound. I wanted to capture some of that energy.”
