After originally making a name for themselves with their breakthrough self-titled debut LP in 2008 and follow-up 2011 record 'Awwww, Shucks', Oklahoma City-based outfit The Uglysuit disbanded shortly afterwards. But are now looking to make their triumphant return with their long-awaited new studio album 'Before The Suit'.
Despite the twelve year gap between this and their last piece of new material, 'Before The Suit' shows that they have not lost that special touch to their psych-rock direction. Filled with fresh and alluring textures, a sweeping atmosphere, and killer hooks left, right and centre, this new seven-track collection continues their run as a truly distinctive name on the scene right now.
Coming back after such a long break is never an easy feat, but 'Before The Suit' packs itself with plenty of bright and shimmering offerings from start to finish. With such a strong and positive approach to both their songwriting and sound throughout, we hope they don't leave it this long again before delighting us with something new again.
