Scranton alt-rock outfit University Drive have released their stark and emotional new single 'One Night Left', written and recorded by frontman Edward Cuozzo at 4am using only his iPhone and an acoustic guitar. Sparked by personal reflection on the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the track is raw, vulnerable, and deeply moving.
Channelling the fragile intimacy of Elliott Smith and Andy Hull, Cuozzo’s voice trembles with empathy, regret, and longing; adding a rare emotive moment in the band's usually euphoric repertoire to date.
'One Night Left' is a reflective moment for the outfit, stripping things back to unveil something pure and honest. And with their 'First Stage Separation' EP a standout release for this year already, we can't wait to hear where this journey will take them next.
