Vampire Weekend's Chris Tomson announces new project, Dams Of The West

While Vampire Weekend have not broken up, their members are certainly busy with solo projects as drummer Chris Tomson announces his intentions to go it alone with his new project Dams Of The West.

Introducing himself to us with his lead single 'Death Wish', Tomson has also finished his first studio album, titled 'Youngish American', which was produced by The Black Keys' Dan Carey and is expected to be released sometime later in the year.
