vincethealien confronts the memories that refuse to disappear on ‘Elongated Time’, the haunting final single ahead of his forthcoming EP.
The LA artist, songwriter and producer turns heartbreak, grief and lingering trauma into a dark collision of alternative pop, industrial electronics and cinematic atmosphere. Synths, strings, electric keys and MPC programming circle through the track, deliberately creating the sensation of a thought repeating long after you want it to stop.
Created with MOTTRON, ‘Elongated Time’ emerged from vincethealien's reflections on past relationships and the uncomfortable discovery that healing rarely follows a convenient timeline. But instead of attempting to erase those experiences, the song considers what happens when we acknowledge the smaller griefs we continue carrying with us.
As the fourth and final preview of his upcoming EP, ‘Elongated Time’ closes this introductory chapter beautifully: nocturnal, vulnerable and unsettling, but ultimately willing to find meaning inside the memories that keep returning.
