Written around her engagement to her fiancé and the sense of acceptance she has discovered within his family, ‘Airport Road’ turns a deeply personal experience into a broader celebration of love, connection and finally knowing where you belong.
The single is also an impressive showcase of Violet Love’s fiercely independent approach. Every element was written and recorded by the Michigan songwriter herself from her home studio, allowing her personality to remain at the centre of the finished track.
