Viva Sounds add the next wave of artists

Viva Sounds, the club festival and intimate conference in Gothenburg just added more artists for the upcoming event on the 6-7th December, landing on 30 shows over two nights at seven venues, all within walking distance and by the harbour of the city. The small event with the weird dog attitude is doing well this dark season. The latest additions include:

PAUL REY - the artist from Malmö got Quincy Jones (yes, that one) as his mentor and released a single with Snoop Dogg (huh?!) earlier this year and his songs now got 100+ million streams on Spotify. How do you spell talent and bright future? Oh, I don’t know, with numbers?

THE BONGO CLUB - with Owen Morris in on the mix, the band landed in the top ten charts in Germany and Austria last year, and took their show to the UK, the US and to Mexico. This Nov they're touring Japan and will have a new song released just before Viva Sounds. That's timing.

BAULA - the Icelandic/Swedish duo's latest song got picked up by National Radio and Nothing but Hope and Passion.

PARADISÄPPELVÄGEN - moving from bombastic soundscapes to naked stuff this band is getting an audience.

BOWSKI ISLAND - Sweden’s biggest island, Gotland, runs through it all, the music, the guitars, the lyrics, the everything.

Speaking about the upcoming event, organiser Mattias Tell says, "It's working, both conference and live. We got a higher quality this year, and still we’re not growing that much. We never wanted to make a really popular event, which might sound strange, but we know who we are, where we are and what we wanna do: a top class event where people can meet, talk music and check music out live. Nothing too fancy about that."
