Watch Rick Rubin's hour-long interview with Zane Lowe

Throughout last week, an interview with notoriously reclusive producer Rick Rubin was aired in snippets on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show as part of a special feature on the life of the legendary producer, and now you can watch the whole thing from start to finish.

Rubin, best known for his production work for the Beastie Boys, System Of A Down, Kanye West and Johnny Cash as well as the founder of Def Jam Records and co-president at Columbia Records, was interviewed by the radio DJ in a special hour-long production that saw him talk about the illustrious life he has lead as one of the leading figures in popular music.

Despite a career spanning more than 30 years, the producer has been extremely reluctant to talk on his accomplishments, which makes this rare interview with him all the more special as he discusses almost everything. From his origins right through to his current work and beyond.

Watch the interview, filmed at Rubin’s Shangri La studio in Malibu, in the player below.
