Winona Oak announces new EP 'Salt'

Following on from her much-loved 'Void' EP at the start of the year, Winona Oak has now announced her plans for a new EP, arriving early next year.

The new collection 'Salt' is being previewed by the lead single 'My Body', and is set to be released on the 7th February via Nettwerk.

Speaking about the new offering, she said, “This song has opened up a freedom for me I didn't know I needed. Writing this song forced a realization that I needed to forgive myself for the way I had treated myself as a teenager and as an adult. I think as we get older, we slowly (hopefully) realize that we need to be kinder to ourselves, but what I think we miss is that is just the first step – we need to forgive ourselves for speaking negatively to our bodies and ourselves in the past.

“I'm still in the middle of this journey but I hope this song allows others the same realization of healing and forgiveness. ALL bodies are beautiful, and we are all worthy to be in charge of them – apologize to your body if you've spoken badly toward it, it is a beautiful creation that deserves love.”
