The instrumental project of multi-award-nominated composer Paul Terry has always thrived on cinematic scope, but here, everything is stripped back to its emotional core. Inspired by the stark beauty of Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color, Terry reworks the towering ‘Rust Mountain’ into a monochrome landscape led entirely by piano. Gone are the colossal drums and sweeping instrumentation. And in their place, a solitary performance that feels raw, exposed, and quietly overwhelming.
The single also reunites Aptøsrs with renowned mixer Adam Noble (Biffy Clyro, Paul McCartney, Don Broco), alongside mastering by Robin Schmidt (Wolf Alice, Pixies, Royal Blood), ensuring the track retains its depth and clarity despite its minimalism.
