London-based artist Komok, the electronic project of Italian composer Alessandro Inglima, returns with his new single 'Space Commuters'.
The track offers an early preview of 'Protopia', a forthcoming twelve-track audio-visual project that blends retro influences with forward-thinking production. Built around a steady, groove-led tempo, 'Space Commuters' leans into textured sound design, combining analogue warmth with futuristic tones.
Drawing inspiration from pioneers like Daft Punk and Aphex Twin, the release moves across elements of acid house, IDM and leftfield techno, while maintaining a cohesive, immersive feel. Inglima’s background in film composition is also evident, with the track unfolding in a cinematic, almost narrative-driven way.
With this new offering, he sets the tone for a project that merges nostalgia with imagined, future-facing soundscapes. Have a listen to 'Space Commuters' in the player below.
