Hartlepool’s uncompromising outfit Lurcher return with 'Quad Biking', the second cut from their upcoming 'Bad Gag' EP, landing on the 15th May. If previous single 'Punchline Blues' hinted at their potential, this one grabs it by the throat and doesn’t let go.
Driven by a tightly wound groove and wiry guitar lines, 'Quad Biking' sharpens the band’s jagged sound into something more immediate and punchy, without losing that raw, deadpan edge. There’s a sense of momentum here as the track barrels through with purpose.
Lyrically, the band turn their focus to an often-overlooked subculture, painting vivid snapshots of quad bike riders as modern-day outliers; rebellious, unfiltered, and defiantly detached from mainstream trends. It’s delivered with the same grounded honesty that defines their sound.
With growing radio and press support behind them, Lurcher are kicking up dust and daring you to keep up. Have a listen to 'Quad Biking' in the player below.
