Bloc Party unveil new single 'Pigwig'

Bloc Party offer another enticing glimpse of their forthcoming album 'Anatomy Of A Brief Romance' with ‘Pigwig’, the final single to arrive before the record lands on the 11th September through Contagious Music.

Produced by Trevor Horn, the track finds the band embracing the brighter end of an album built around frontman Kele Okereke’s experience of a passionate relationship and its eventual collapse. ‘Pigwig’ captures the story at its most euphoric, looking back on the moment when attraction develops into something far more consuming.

The unusual title carries its own romantic history. Pigwig was a pet name used during the relationship, borrowed from a Beatrix Potter character, while the song itself recalls a seaside getaway from a period when everything still felt exciting and full of possibility.
