Modern rock project Almost Alive has released ‘Moon Come Down’, the first single from forthcoming album 'Headwinds'.
Taking cues from the weightier end of 90s and early-2000s alternative rock, particularly Soundgarden and Audioslave, the track combines heavy post-grunge foundations with a darker cinematic atmosphere. Creator Evan Kanter initially conceived the song through imagery rather than music, imagining the moon gradually falling towards Earth and building the track around that unsettling scenario.
‘Moon Come Down’ follows a substantial run of releases from Almost Alive, whose catalogue has now passed one million streams. It's the first of four singles planned ahead of 'Headwinds', an album set to push the project further towards muscular, grunge-influenced rock while continuing Kanter’s experiments with emerging creative technology.
