Philadelphia sibling duo The Mack Brothers explore the uneasy relationship between past and present on their latest single ‘Sleepless in Seattle’.
Brothers John and Matthew Mackara wrote, performed, mixed and mastered the track themselves, drawing from a broad collection of influences that includes U2, The Strokes, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Frank Sinatra. The resulting sound prompted their friend and Philadelphia rapper Retro Judah to memorably describe it as Dean Martin fronting Kings Of Leon.
Recorded between the brothers’ individual studios, ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ also marks their first time recording the instrumental parts together in several years, opening the door to a more collaborative period for The Mack Brothers.
