Cardiff rock outfit Underlowe come crashing into focus with ‘No Pictures’, a thrilling pop-punk blast celebrating the simple pleasure of living in the moment.
Inspired by nights spent with friends without the constant distraction of social media, the single pairs the infectious immediacy of Green Day and Blink-182 with the heavier modern production of Turnstile and Jack White.
Filtered vocals and layered clean guitars create a deceptively restrained introduction before distortion erupts and the full band surges forward. Galloping snare fills, thunderous bass, double-tracked guitars and an intricate closing solo give ‘No Pictures’ a wonderfully oversized sound without sacrificing its Y2K pop-punk charm.
Recorded between University of South Wales' Studio One and the band's Cardiff home, the track was painstakingly refined through numerous mixes by guitarist and producer Jacob Dennis.
