Quebec City garage-punk outfit The Carringtons waste absolutely no time on ‘NOISE’, a ferocious two-minute blast that introduces forthcoming album 'THE REUNION' in spectacular fashion.
Following recent efforts ‘EXILE’, ‘STORIES’ and ‘PARALYZED’, the single takes the band's knack for short, immediate songwriting and pushes it towards maximum impact. A relentlessly danceable bassline drives everything forward as punchy drums, snarling guitars and raw vocals pile into a track seemingly determined to hit its destination before you've had time to catch your breath.
There are flashes of The Strokes in its melodic swagger, but The Carringtons roughen those edges considerably, injecting the song with the frantic garage-punk energy associated with Bad Nerves and the unpredictable bite of Viagra Boys.
