Anthony Walker explores the strange comfort of memories we cannot quite leave behind on ‘Unstoppable’, the lead single from forthcoming album 'The Wind & The Witness'.
The New Jersey singer-songwriter surrounds that idea with shimmering 12-string guitar, restless melodies and an easy rhythmic pulse, bringing together the sharp songwriting instincts of Elvis Costello, the jangling spirit of The Byrds and flashes of Vampire Weekend's playful indie-rock.
Beginning in the half-light of a dive bar, ‘Unstoppable’ follows a narrator suspended somewhere between memory and reality. But instead of searching for conventional closure, he considers whether certain connections survive most powerfully inside the worlds we create for them; places where people, relationships and moments can continue long after reality has moved on.
That unresolved feeling feeds directly into 'The Wind & The Witness', which explores connection, impermanence, isolation and the human desire to impose meaning on an uncertain world. Produced by Mark Masefield and recorded in Asbury Park, the album will arrive in early 2027.
