London collective This Is The Deep have shared their gliding new single ‘Never Easy’, offering another glimpse into their upcoming debut album ‘Everything (Dick Herman, The Whale, and The End of the Beginning)’, set for release via 5dB Records.
Blending wistful pop melodies with melancholic strings, bubbling fuzz and hazy wah-wah guitars, ‘Never Easy’ balances playful instrumentation with an underlying emotional weight. Dual vocals from Hannah Tilson and Ranny Macdonald bring an intimate, conversational feel to a song exploring the exhaustion of a relationship caught in a cycle of uncertainty.
The single arrives ahead of the collective’s ambitious debut album, a surreal, cinematic journey weaving together orchestral folk, psychedelic pop and adventurous art-rock. Built around a fantastical narrative exploring desire, perception and consumption, ‘Everything (Dick Herman, The Whale, and The End of the Beginning)’ promises a richly imaginative introduction to the band’s distinctive musical world.
