Blackalicious announce new album 'Imani, Vol. 1'

After ten years since their last studio album, hip-hop duo Blackalicious are returning with their latest full-length, 'Imani, Vol. 1'.

The new record will be the first in a trilogy of releases, set to be spread across the next two years, and will be the first piece of new material since the news of MC Gift Of Gab's kidney failure in 2012.

"Faith has been a big word in both of our lives in the last couple of years," Gift of Gab says. "We both dealt with some personal situations that really required faith and forced us to think about a lot of things. Most of our albums are about where we’re at that point in our lives, and that's definitely true on this one."

‘Imani, Vol. 1’ is due out on the 16th October, and you can check out the album's tracklist and artwork as well as lead single 'The Blow Up' below.
