Devon returns with new track 'TRUST ISSUES'

After delivering his brilliant single ‘BELONG 2 U’ earlier this year, which went on to receive huge amounts of acclaim throughout the press and radio, Devon has now returned to share his next bright and uplifting slice of indie-pop.

The new track 'TRUST ISSUES' was originally written last year about an ill-fated personal relationship, but has since found new meaning within the current climate and sees Devon revisit the lyrics with a whole new perspective.

Speaking about his new offering, he said, “I woke up and wrote this first thing in the morning. It felt like one of those moments when artists say songs fall out the sky, I was strumming random chords and wailing as I always do and then the chorus melody just came out of nowhere.

“You’re reminiscing on how nice things have been but there’s also this looming sense of all the mistakes that have been made. The chorus is almost looking out at the future being unsure and a bit scared of who you’ll be without your partner.”

While discussing the Charlie Reader-directed video, he added, “The video highlights everything that’s weird and wrong with the world and all in all is a bit of an uncomfortable watch. It really gets you thinking about the world right now, and your own role in it, which is definitely something I love about how it’s been made”.
