Adele announced as final Glastonbury headliner

After breaking the news to fans at her O2 Arena show on Friday night, Glastonbury Festival has now confirmed that Adele will be the third and final headliner at this year's event.

Joining Coldplay and Muse as the three acts topping the billing on the Pyramid stage, Adele is set to be headlining the Saturday leg of the festival.

Earlier this year, festival organiser Emily Eavis toyed with the idea of having Adele headline Glastonbury, saying, “We love Adele. She’s an incredible artist and brilliantly honest and funny and real and that’s what everybody loves about her. She’s a great example because she doesn’t put up any pretence.”

Glastonbury is set to take place in its usual spot on Worthy Farm from the 22nd-26th June.
