Amazon set to launch new music streaming service

Online retailer Amazon are planning to add another feather to their ever-growing bow as the internet giants now plan to launch a new music streaming service in the very near future.

The service will put them in direct competition with the likes of Spotify and Deezer, and could go live as early as next week.

Much like its recently acquired video streaming service LoveFilm, the new platform will be free to all those signed up to Amazon Prime. But although Sony and Warner Music have already completed their licensing agreement with Amazon, Universal are yet to join, so their artists will not be appearing on the service just yet.
