Apple announces new streaming service 'Apple Music'

After months of speculation and rumour, Apple have finally lifted the lid on their latest music venture and it looks like we won't be waiting long to see it.

'Apple Music' will launch on the 30th June and unlike most other steaming services like Spotify, this one looks like it is more than just listening to music.

Promising to “change the way you experience music forever," the service will allow users to access a huge wealth of music, as well as listen to the in-built radio station Beats1, of which Zane Lowe is now a host. But for the artists, they will be in charge of what goes up for their fans to listen to, allowing any artists to host their own profile and dictate how and when their music can be streamed.

But just like all other streaming services, it isn't free. Currently available for $9.99 a month (UK prices unknown) with the first three months free, there will also be an optional $14.99 charge that allows you to share your account with up to six family members.

Specifics and examples of what it will look and sound like are still thin on the ground but you can watch the new promotional video for Apple Music below.
