Midnight Swim are ready to make a major statement with the announcement of their self-titled debut album, arriving on the 11th September. The Greater Manchester alt-pop rockers have spent the last three years crafting a sound packed with huge hooks, emotional honesty and arena-sized ambition, and now they’re preparing to deliver their biggest release yet.
Alongside the album announcement, the band have unveiled the brilliantly titled new single ‘Shaking You From My Feelings Would Be Easier If You Were Dead’, a high-energy anthem that perfectly captures the band’s knack for combining emotional frustration with irresistible pop-rock melodies. Featuring a massive chorus, infectious call-and-response moments and enough energy to ignite a festival crowd, the track further establishes Midnight Swim as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging names.
Frontman Jack Valentine describes the song as a tribute to the famously long track titles of the early 2000s alternative scene, while lyrically exploring the frustration of wanting someone who remains out of reach.
Drawing inspiration from acts such as Paramore, The Maine and You Me at Six, Midnight Swim blend nostalgic pop-punk energy with sleek modern production. Having already shared stages with Deaf Havana, Emarosa and WSTR, the quartet continue to build impressive momentum.
With a debut album on the horizon and more live dates expected soon, Midnight Swim are quickly proving they have all the ingredients to become one of the breakout rock acts of 2026.
