Austra returns with new single 'Risk It'

The new track is her first in three years

Having remained largely silent for the last three years, Austra has now returned to deliver a brand new single.

The new track 'Risk It' is her first since the 2017 album 'Future Politics', was produced alongside Rodaidh McDonald and Joseph Shabason, and comes accompanied by a stunning new video from Jasmin Mozzafari.

Speaking about the new visuals, Mozzafari said, “I wanted to construct a narrative piece that takes place over the course of one night, focusing on a protagonist caught at the inevitable crossroads that exist when love falls apart. Ultimately, I saw "Risk It" as a song about the fear of being vulnerable. At the beginning, the protagonist tries to do anything to evade this feeling; by the end, they are forced to face it."
